First Day

This thing got started all because I was asked to be on a panel for the state Library Association's Annual Conference. I was asked in late June, 2004 while attending the American Library Association's Annual Conference in Orlando--of course I said yes, even though the topic was not one to set my senses reeling (if you know what I mean....)
It was only when I looked at the online listing of the meetings to see when I was to be speaking, that I saw that it was not I, but another librarian in the state who has the same name (and I know of yet one more--in a nearby city!) who would be speaking about how online chat reference services are being integrated into existing staffing patterns. (See what I mean?)
So, I am going to the conference, but I won't be performing! We just received info about the conference blog, and in going online to register, I decided to start my own blog. I mean, I doubt that a soul in the world will read this, so who gives? Eh?
I will be posting to the conferenceblog, I guess, assuming I take the freakin' time to go online and do it.
