Metallica: A Simple, Perfect Wedding!

I like the way Google dresses up for each holiday and for other special occasions. It makes me wish others would lighten up, too, ya know?

I attended a really moving wedding last Wednesday. Yeah, I kow, it was the Ides of March, but it was significant date for the couple. They met face-to-face the first time exactly a year earlier, after having met on the internet the fall before that. My nephew and his bride sang to each other a song I'd never heard before -- first she sang a verse to him, then he to her, back and forth until the end, when they both sang together. I was dumbfounded by the simple beauty of it all, tears misting my eyes and the sun setting into the waves of the Gulf of Mexico. There was a steady breeze blowing across the surf as they said their own vows to each other, exchanged rings, and kissed. At that moment, we all clapped (as did passers-by on the beach) and they ran down to the edge of the water and kissed again. Perfect.

I was incredulous when told that the song they sang was by Metallica! Who knew?
Nothing Else Matters.

So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
and nothing else matters

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
and nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
and nothing else matters

Never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
but I know

So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
and nothing else matters

never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
but I know

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us, something new
Open mind for a different view
and nothing else matters

never cared for what they say
never cared for games they play
never cared for what they do
never cared for what they know
and I know

So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
No, nothing else matters

Now do you see what I mean? Can you picture this? I hope to get photos, and someone to show me how to post them when I do.

That's all for this blog. Sorry no new websites. Next time.
