There really IS hope!

This is the end of journalism - Editorial

Well now, this is truly an eye-opener for me. Who knew that kids out there today really are paying attention? I am so tempted to send this to the folks mentioned in this editorial. Especially since I've been known to watch them in the late afternoons when I first get home and try to get some rest before my beloved arrives.

What do you think? Or are you even paying attention to what's been happening to YOUR local paper? Do you even read it? What 'bout your kids? Do they read anything other than what's online?

OK, I'm off the soapbox. [Do you even know to what I'm referring now? What's a soapbox?]

As a librarian in a large "research I" library, I am constantly appalled at the "beligerant in her/his ignorance" I see everywhere. Not just in the student population either. Oh no. Don't get me started.
